Preparing to Work on a Memory

Welcome! This website will show you one way to heal from difficult memories or experiences. It's probably a little different than other things you may have tried. Please take the time to follow each step carefully to build the skills you need to do this effectively. If you skip anything, you may likely have issues or difficulties that could have been avoided by following the steps in order.

Getting through the preparation parts of this site usually takes about 20 minutes. When you're familiar with each of these skills, you can move on to working on the memory.

Quick Note: I don't make any money off this site, and I'm not trying to sell you anything. I just want to provide an accessible resource for people to learn how to use these tools to access the brain's natural ability to heal, just as our bodies can heal from scrapes and broken bones.

This is not a therapy site. The author of this website is a licensed therapist, but they are not your therapist. Following the instructions here is also not a substitute for seeing a trained trauma therapist. However, getting familiar with the process on this website can help you practice to better manage stressful experiences of the past, present, and even the future.
